Software Development Manager

The position of Software Development Manager is responsible for planning, designing, managing, and implementing Customer-installed and SaaS-based environments. The ideal candidate will have experience architecting and developing software solutions as well as extensive experience leading software design sessions and mentoring junior developers. We are looking for an organized and disciplined manager with a fanatical attention to detail to propel our software releases through the development process and deliver them to our customers on schedule. Products are developed in various technology stacks and deployed on Windows, web and mobile platforms.

Job Location:

  • Manage all facets of ATMS software development including project planning, process control, new technology integration, development, testing, quality assurance, release management, deployment, and managing relationships.
  • Identify and communicate best practices for software engineering.
  • Coordinate a team of software developers, testers and technical support staff.
  • Based on a delivery date, determine what enhancements and bugs to include in new releases.
  • Develop detailed project schedules – identifying tasks and allocating resources.
  • Motivating the team and keeping them focused and on schedule.
  • Identifying and mitigating risk inherent with using new technologies.
  • Ensuring that testability and quality are designed into the releases.
  • Working closely with sales staff to ensure new features fulfill client requirements.

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 4-year college degree in a technical discipline.
  • Must have minimum 3-5 years of proven track record in managing full SDLC from concept through development and integration to deployment of an enterprise system in a hosted environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows and Web development.
  • Experienced working in a Linux environment, Git with various CLI tools.
  • Strong SQL skills with major databases.
  • Ability to work well with all levels of an organization.
  • Background of taking on and succeeding with complex, challenging projects.
  • Track record of successful, on-time delivery.
  • History of setting and tracking specific, measurable goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills essential.
  • Strong coordination skills a must.
  • Self-starter, energetic and motivated contributor.
